Three decades of craft · India to New Jersey

Indian tailoring,
made personal.

From the blouse that completes your saree to wedding outfits that move beautifully all day—every stitch begins with how you want to feel.

What we tailor

For everyday elegance.
For once-in-a-lifetime days.

Indian clothing carries memory, movement, and meaning. We shape each piece around your proportions and preferences—preserving the character of the garment while making the fit distinctly yours.

Bring your fabric, an existing garment, or an inspiration photo. We will discuss what is possible before the first cut.

02

Wedding wear

Thoughtful fitting for bridal lehengas, chaniya choli, reception looks, family outfits, and guest attire.

03

Dresses & suits

Made-to-measure dresses, salwar kameez, churidar, anarkali, and other Indian silhouettes.

04

Ready-to-wear sarees

Pre-pleated saree conversions designed for easier draping, confident movement, and a polished finish.

05

All alterations

Hems, waists, sleeves, zippers, repairs, resizing, and fit corrections for women's and men's clothing.

The bespoke difference

A better fit changes more than the silhouette.

01

We listen first. The occasion, comfort, coverage, movement, and your personal style all shape the plan.

02

We respect the garment. Placement of borders, embroidery, motifs, and structure guides how we alter or construct it.

03

We fit the person. Bespoke tailoring works with your posture and proportions—not a generic size chart.

For the whole celebration

One wedding.
Many moments to fit.

From garba night to the ceremony and reception, coordinated tailoring makes every outfit feel intentional—and every family member feel considered.

1

Plan early

Bring outfits, footwear, and underlayers together when possible. Share your event dates and order of priority.

2

Fit with purpose

We discuss movement, drape, coverage, and the jewelry or dupatta placement that can affect the final look.

3

Refine the details

A final try-on helps confirm length, closures, comfort, and balance before your celebration.

Wedding tip

For bridal and multi-outfit orders, call as early as possible. Timelines vary by garment and season.

Questions, answered

Before your fitting.

Calling ahead is the best way to discuss timing for wedding and occasion wear.

What does Kinnary Tailor specialize in?

We specialize in custom saree blouses, dresses, salwar kameez, chaniya choli and lehenga tailoring, ready-to-wear saree conversions, Indian wedding wear, and alterations for women and men.

Do you tailor Indian wedding outfits?

Yes. We work on bridal and family wedding attire, including blouses, lehengas, chaniya choli, sarees, dresses, and other occasion wear. Bring your event date when you visit so timing can be discussed.

Can you alter non-Indian clothing?

Yes. We perform many types of alterations for women's and men's garments, including hemming, resizing, sleeve changes, zipper work, and repairs. The garment's construction determines what is possible.

What should I bring to a fitting?

Bring the garment or fabric, the shoes and undergarments you plan to wear, and any inspiration photos. For sarees or lehengas, bring related pieces such as the dupatta or blouse when they affect proportion or drape.

How long will my tailoring take?

Timing depends on the garment, the work involved, current demand, and your event date. Please call or visit for an estimate; wedding and multi-garment orders should be planned early.
